Boldly exploring untrodden sonic territory, London-based songwriting duo PREGOBLIN have shared their larger-than-life new single 'Gangsters'. Bringing together two seemingly disparate yet iconic genres, 'Gangsters' is an epic power ballad-cum-western soundtrack. Made all the more cinematic by the pair's unflinching dual vocals, dramatic strings, cantering drum machines, powerful cymbal smashes and 70s sounding synthesizers all play a part in the piece. Breaking down to an emotional middle 8, which repeats the refrain "oh gangsters, love them, don't you, oh gangsters, yeah..." slippery slide guitar adds to the western aesthetic as supportive acoustic guitar strums keep things ticking along until everything kicks back in for an almighty ending that comes complete with the spine-tingling choral qualities of a full choir.
